This year in Kick-It has been so fun and new for us. Our 3rd annual kickball tournament was a blast, despite the rain. We raised $22,870 that all went to research with Dr. Timothy Cripe at Nationwide Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Cripe come in and talk to us Kick-It members about what he does. It was super interesting to see where the money goes. He had great visuals and was so knowledgeable.
We also hosted our dodge ball tournament that was a blast! We had some fun sponsors come out and the teams really enjoyed our excitement, as we enjoyed their high energy. Grant and his family were able to join us; seeing him smile and watching his younger brother jump in on the action is always a good reminder and motivator for us.
This spring we have been exploring new events and ideas. It was a really creative and fun time to brainstorm. Everyone has a ton of ideas. As for my position on social media, I get to spend this time having fun with my content. Which brings me to this blog. This is a forum that I want to use to reach out to our families, members and students at Ohio State and Kick-It members across Ohio. Everyone has a different story as to why they love Kick-It and how it has impacted them. Going forward, here you will find pictures, words and videos that show how much we care about this organization.
